BCIC-New Ventures Competition - Secodix

Posted Thursday, 04 August 2011 13:57 by Danielle Libonati

Congratulations to Secodix for progressing to the 3rd round of this year's BCIC-New Ventures Competition.

Vancouver's Secodix develops and markets the XPUTM (eXtreme Processing Unit), a next generation co-processor platform. Based on 7 years of research, the XPUTM solves the Multi-Core Crisis and provides a substantial competitive advantage to High Frequency Trading (HFT) firms, enabling conventional software to achieve performance gains of 10-100x, while decreasing Time-To-Market by 90% (e.g. weeks to days). Secodix has completed a proof-of-concept demonstrating a 14-18x performance improvement with 4G WiMAX.

The top ten companies advancing to the fourth and final round of the competition will be announced August 31, 2011. The finalists, each vying for a piece of the $375,000 in prize packages, will be awarded September 22, 2011 in Vancouver.
