Vancouver as an Innovation Hub for Asia and Latin America & the Caribbean

Eric Kirschner, CEO and Director of the Canadian Council for the Americas in British Columbia (CCA-BC), is looking at establishing an ‘innovation hub' to stimulate trade between Latin America & Caribbean (LAC) and Asia, and between these regions and Canada.

This hub has the potential to affirm Canada as an innovation-oriented country, generate wealth, and build the country's reputation as ethical and transparent, with well-defined organizations that support innovation growth. Kirschner believes that Vancouver is the best location for a hub focused on technology innovation; but must convince the board that it is here that the optimal benefits of the hub for all parties concerned will be realized.
