President & CEO, Ocean Networks Canada

Martin Taylor is President and CEO of Ocean Networks Canada, the not for profit agency responsible for the management and development of the VENUS and NEPTUNE Canada ocean observatory programs and the Ocean Networks Centre for Enterprise and Engagement, a federal centre of excellence for commercialization and research. Before assuming this position, he served for nine years (1998-2007) as the University of Victoria's first Vice-President Research. He has extensive experience serving on research boards at the federal and provincial levels. Martin Taylor is the author of two books and over 100 peer-reviewed publications in the field of environmental and community health.
