entrepreneurship@Bootup: The Hub for Acceleration

There's been a lot of buzz surrounding entrepreneurship@Bootup, a pilot program dedicated to helping early-stage Internet entrepreneurs accelerate and grow their business ventures made possible by BCIC and Bootup Entrepreneurial Society (BES).

Currently housed at BES in Gastown, Vancouver, entrepreneurship@Bootup is a collaborative space where entrepreneurs can learn from each other and attend training and education seminars to help them launch their startup in the web application space. Entrepreneurs also have access to a very impressive list of mentors including Boris Wertz of W Media Ventures, Stewart Butterfield of Tiny Speck and Jason Bailey of AdKnowledge - to name just a few...  mentors hold regular office hours to provide advice and offer connections to entrepreneurs that will help accelerate their work.

"Within one month of launching entrepreneurship@Bootup, 18 founders have signed up and we've welcomed visiting entrepreneurs and investors from across Canada and other countries including London, Seattle, California and Japan," said Maura Rodgers, Executive Director of BES. "While we may be focused on building the startup ecosystem in BC, our door is also always open to entrepreneurs from around the globe."
