2011 BCIC-New Ventures Competition adds prizes for Agritech

Registration is now open for the 2011 BCIC-New Ventures Competition, the annual BC-wide business idea competition awarding more than $360,000 in prizes to technology startups demonstrating the most potential for commercial success. Invest $200 in your technology idea and learn how to develop it into a profitable company beginning April 4th with the kick-off of the Competition's Seminar Series.

This year, for the first time through a partnership with the BC Ministry of Agriculture, the competition will award two prizes to innovations in the Agricultural Technology space.

They include the:

  • $30,000 Agritech Innovation first prize
  • $20,000 Agritech Innovation second prize

Who should enter?

Any BC person, team or business with a technology-focused idea related to agricultural applications, in the categories of primary production, food, bioenergy or bioproducts. Your $200 entry fee will grant you access to all seminars and networking events.
