British Columbia Innovation Council

BCIC has partnered with the BC Ventures Society to deliver the society's annual New Ventures BC (NVBC) technology business-idea competition. Working together, BCIC and NVBC are providing BC entrepreneurs and inventors with the skills, networking, mentoring and prize monies they need to successfully commercialize their business ideas. The six-month, four-round competition is open to any BC resident, team or business with an innovative technology product or service that has not yet secured material financing.

This year, a five-month, three-round Regional Competition will be launched for all participants located outside Metro Vancouver. BCIC-sponsored prizes total $260,000.

New Ventures BC is open to any BC resident, team or business with an innovative technology product or service that has not yet secured significant financing from external investors (i.e. investors other than friends, family and company founders).
