Innovation Exploration
Innovation Exploration focuses on ideas, education and career development, giving young scientists and innovators the opportunity to meet and network with leaders from BC's science and technology development community. Students attend a three-day career exploration event in Vancouver which includes an invitation to the CONNECT event.
This highly interactive and unique program involves seventy-four students from across British Columbia and the Yukon who won a total of 87 awards at this year's Canada-Wide Science Fair held in Peterborough, Ontario, from May 15 -23, 2010. Participating in a variety of categories from earth and environmental sciences to engineering and automotive, the students brought back 2 gold, 9 silver, 19 bronze, 13 honorable mentions, 6 special awards, and 38 scholarships for a total of $84,150 in scholarships, awards and prize money.
