Legal Agreements

In the early stages of a startup company, there are several types of legal agreements that are important to think about. A few of these are listed below:

  1. Employee Agreements
  2. Contractor Agreements
  3. Non-disclosure agreements (NDAs)
  4. Memorandum and Articles: the basic rules that direct how a BC corporation will be governed.
  5. Partnership Agreement: used when two or more individuals collaborate to create a new business partnership or formalize an existing business partnership.

Why are these important?

It is important to clearly set out guidelines regarding rights and restrictions to avoid any future disagreements or problems.
For all legal issues related to agreements and contracts, consult a lawyer.
